Ethan spent years working as an editor, which makes him an editor-friendly writer who turns in pristine, on-topic copy. It also allows him to clearly understand the role of photography in the greater editorial landscape. During a three-year stint at the National Head Start Association, Ethan completely revamped the association’s journal, renaming it Children and Families and bringing outside writers on board to make the magazine more readable and valuable for the Head Start community. Ethan also served as the senior editor at Instructor magazine, the most widely read magazine for K–12 teachers.
Ethan studied photography for three years at the Rochester Institute of Technology, earning an associate’s degree before going on earn his bachelor’s degree in English at New York University. As if that weren’t enough education, Ethan later picked up a master’s degree in English Education from Columbia University. (You can see this guy is seriously into photography, writing and sharing knowledge with others.
